Siva is the CEO of the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM), the nation’s premiere body championing Management and Leadership excellence over the past 50+ years. He started off his career at Hitachi Semiconductor and rose the ranks to become General Manager, Director and a Board member of the organisation (Renesas Semiconductor post-merger) before switching industries to follow his passion in human capital development.

Siva led MIM through a major revamp of its offerings including adoption of digital technologies. Under his leadership, MIM expanded to serving international clients in the Asian region through its new offerings and partnerships with reputed global learning organisations. He also revived signature events to promote discourse of latest Management and Leadership thinking, including lectures from illustrious figures such as Industrialists, Prime Ministers and Royalties.

During his job tenure at Hitachi/Renesas Semiconductor, he was instrumental in implementing the Lean Production System and helping the organisation drive customer satisfaction and cost efficiencies. Siva is well recognized for his ability to drive positive change and champion ideas that push the boundaries of traditional thinking. He inspires and guides people around him to perform at their highest level and reach their full potential.

Siva is a 20-year veteran of Toastmasters International, a world leader in leadership and communication development and shares his personal leadership journey through his speaking engagements. He has also served in various leadership positions within the Toastmasters fraternity including as the District 51 Governor, leading the chapters in Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei.

He has received numerous leadership awards, including the prestigious ‘Presidents Distinguished Award’ and ‘Leadership Excellence Award’ (2007) in Phoenix, Arizona; and the ‘Presidential Citation Award’ (2008) in Calgary, Canada from Toastmasters International.

Siva holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from the University of Bangalore and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of South Australia.
